東京農工大学の桂研究室と合同セミナーを開催しました。英語で研究成果を発表し議論する場を渇望するタンザニア留学生のために、桂先生にお願いして今回のセミナーが実現しました。留学生が大変有意義な時間を過ごせたのは勿論のこと、ただ単純に作物学の世界にドップリつかったのは数年ぶりの経験だったので私自身にも有意義な時間でした。

Attended a joint-seminar between Mie University (MieU) and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) this afternoon. Professor Katsura of TUAT accepted my proposal of MieU-TUAT joint seminar to satisfy my Tanzanian students’ strong desire for presenting their studies and having academic discussion in English. My students were, of course, able to have a fruitful time and a lot of fun in the seminar. The seminar was something special to me too because I was simply able to immerse myself into the world of crop science for the first time in a few years.
