株式会社つじ農園で第3回目の出前講義でした。本日は「収量および収量構成要素の理論②」と題し、収量構成要素の理解に不可欠な生育ステージと乾物生産の関係を解説しました。直近5か年（2015～2019）の平均玄米収量において、三重県は全国47稲作県中33位にランクされます。全国1位の長野県やブランド米産地の新潟県と比較しながら、収量が低くなる理由を生育期間中の日射量と登熟期間中の平均気温の関係から解説しました。皆さん、この事実に非常に驚かれており、大いに議論が盛り上がりました。

I gave Tsuji Farm staff the third lecture this afternoon. It was entitled “Theory of Rice Yield Components 2”. Relationship between plant growth stage and dry matter production needed to understand the theory was explained. Mie prefecture is ranked 33rd for rice yield averaged over the last five years among 47 rice producing prefectures in Japan. The low yield level was explained by accumulated solar radiation over entire growth period and mean daily temperature during ripening period in comparison with highest yielding Nagano and brand rice producing Niigata prefectures. Participants were surprised at the ranking, and discussion heated up.
