Departure day. I immediately started cleaning my room after breakfast. After staff checked each room, I left the training center. Before boarding the bus to Nihonmatsu Station, I gathered with my language teacher and classmates for photos. I’m planning to meet some of them on the departure day to our assigned countries. When I thought about how uncertain it was whether I could reunite with other classmates and teachers, I couldn’t stop crying. I promised to continue doing things similar to what we worked on in class through online English conversation with volunteers. After arriving at Nihonmatsu Station, I bought tama-yokan (sweet bean jelly) and sake as souvenirs, had lunch, and set off on my way home. While taking photos of the shinkansen, I remembered that when I was heading to the training center in April, I was too nervous to think about taking photos. Going to the training center was alone, but now I have friends to talk with and travel back together. I’m grateful for the opportunity that gave me learning and encounters !
