現在ガーナにいる協力隊員の提案により、オンラインでの顔合わせと質疑応答の場を設けていただいた。ガーナ1次隊の伝統らしい。質疑応答の内容は日本から持っていくと便利なもの、初期費用、携帯関係、生活用水、支払い方法など。準備期間が短いため、口頭で直接情報をもらえる機会が多いのはありがたい。食堂での夕食時間と被ってしまう可能性があったため夕食は予約せずベトナム料理を食べに行った。店内の温泉は湯の花がびっしりで濁っていた。熊目撃情報が増えてきているためタクシーで帰るつもりでいたが、暗闇を熊鈴と懐中電灯を持ち訓練所へ帰った。今回のガーナ隊員は活発な人が多い（2025年6月7日）。

At the suggestion of JICA volunteers currently in Ghana, we were provided with an opportunity for online introductions and Q&A sessions. This seems to be a tradition for Ghana’s first detachment. The Q&A content covered useful items to bring from Japan, initial costs, mobile phone matters, domestic water, payment methods, and so on. Since the preparation period is short, it’s grateful to have many opportunities to receive information directly and verbally. Since there was a possibility of overlapping with dinner time at the cafeteria, I didn’t make a dinner reservation and went out to eat Vietnamese food. The hot spring inside the restaurant was cloudy with mineral deposits covering it densely. Since bear sighting reports have been increasing, I intended to return by taxi, but I walked back to the training center in the darkness carrying a bear bell and flashlight. The Ghana volunteers this time seem to include many active people.
