Today we were supposed to climb Mount Adatara, but it was postponed due to bad weather. Since I hadn’t made a reservation for lunch at the training center, I went down to Dake Onsen town and ate the famous katsudon. Every volunteer said the portion was quite large. Another volunteer mentioned seeing people at other restaurants putting leftover katsudon in containers to take home when they couldn’t finish it. I wonder if Fukushima residents have a culture of eating large portions? On the way back, I took a break at the foot bath and climbed back up to the training center in 30 minutes.
