珈琲豆を購入したという隊員が珈琲会に招待してくれた。周りには珈琲好きが多い。久しぶりの新鮮な豆から淹れた珈琲はとても美味しかった。その後はバドミントンをした。午後には任国事情オリエンテーションに参加した。ガーナでの活動を終え日本に帰国したばかりの方がガーナで得た情報（語学・ホームステイ、インフラ、通信、医療、防犯・安全、交通事情、現地文化、食生活、日本での準備）を詳細に共有してくださった。一番衝撃的だったのが、水道から流れるオレンジ色の水の写真。任地によっては水道供給は不安定で特に大乾季には断水が頻発する。住居の選定時には、水タンクがあるのか、井戸や溜池などが利用できるか、浄水場からの距離や標高を確認して水圧チェックすることが望ましい。近所に断水時の水確保について聞くことも有効である（2025年5月31日）。
A volunteer who had purchased coffee beans invited me to a coffee gathering. There are many coffee lovers around me. The coffee brewed from fresh beans after a long time was very delicious. Afterwards, we played badminton. In the afternoon, I participated in a country-specific orientation. A person who had just returned to Japan after finishing activities in Ghana shared detailed information obtained in Ghana (language and homestay, infrastructure, communication, medical care, crime prevention and safety, transportation, local culture, dietary habits, preparation in Japan). The most shocking thing was a photo of orange-colored water flowing from the tap. Depending on the assignment location, water supply is unstable, and water outages occur frequently, especially during the dry season. When selecting housing, it is advisable to check whether there is a water tank, whether wells or ponds can be used, and to check water pressure by confirming the distance from the water treatment plant and elevation. It is also effective to ask neighbors about securing water during outages.
