There are various forms of participation in the Peace Corps: taking leave from school, resigning from work, or maintaining current employment. For those participating while maintaining their current job, there seem to be cases where the Peace Corps activity is recognized as work and cases where it’s not. For some people, the financial damage from participating in Peace Corps activities appears to be significant. Some people knew this in advance, while others are just realizing it now and are getting anxious. The provision of malaria prevention medication also differs depending on the supply situation in the assigned country. Facing unexpected situations, anxiety and dissatisfaction are starting to show. I received my third rabies vaccination.
