To Local Communities and the World
Two individuals who truly embodied the slogan: “Conducting high-quality research in production environments.”
She transferred from a junior college but due to circumstances beyond her control at the university, unexpectedly found herself in our lab. While juggling classes and facing numerous challenges with graduation research across the entire Chusei region, she postponed graduation to pursue her study to satisfaction. Her perseverance resulted in an innovative paper bridging the boundary between crop science and soil science. Going forward, she will serve the local community as an agricultural technician for Mie Prefecture.
From early spring to late autumn, she visited Tsuji Farm almost weekly, steadily collecting data. During her third year, time flew by so quickly she barely understood what she was measuring, but by her fourth year, she had grown to formulate her own research plans and mentor juniors. She continued to graduate school and traveled to Ghana as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer during her study.
Both individuals will surely do excellent work with the knowledge and insight they’ve gained here. Congratulations on your graduation.
