Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Seminar in Iga
A report on the findings from paddy field surveys conducted throughout the Chūsei region over the past three years was presented under the title “Global Boiling Threatening Agricultural Infrastructure – The Near Future of Rice Cultivation as Indicated by Paddy Field Surveys in the Chūsei Region.” Professor Karita, who chaired the seminar, offered this assessment: “This was an extremely educational experience. In the field of microbiology, it is said that as global warming progresses, organic matter in the soil will decompose, and even if humanity achieves zero greenhouse gas emissions, warming will continue to accelerate beyond the point of no return…. I cannot express enough gratitude to the professors who agreed to give presentations.” This event provided a valuable opportunity to organize extensive data and understand its implications.
